Explicit or Implicit

Should a business agreement be explicit or implicit?

Explicit means "carefully spelled out" or "fully developed." In contrast, implicit means "not specifically spelled out," "vague," or "not stated, but known through what is expressed."

Therefore, to protect one's interest, a business agreement should be explicit.

Use in Sentences

Dr. Dibbs gave Mary explicit instructions about managing her condition.

She was professional, so I trusted her implicitly.
